Our Agreement With You (E-SIGN)

This Privacy Policy is an agreement between you and Cartwright Realty, LLC, a North Carolina real estate brokerage (NC Firm License No. C29575), and, where described below, Staged to Sell, Inc., doing business as Cartwright Decor. Both companies are owned by Marissa Christina Cartwright. In this policy, "Cartwright Realty," "we," "us," and "our" mean Cartwright Realty, LLC, and "Cartwright Decor" means Staged to Sell, Inc. DBA Cartwright Decor.

By using www.cartwrightrealtync.com (the "Website"), and by submitting your information through any form on the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Use. When you check a box or click a button to submit information, you agree that this is your electronic signature and that it has the same effect as a handwritten signature. You may ask for a paper copy of this policy at no charge by calling (910) 777-4759 or emailing [email protected].

This policy explains what information we collect, how we collect it, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Website, to emails we send you, and to information you give us through the Website. It does not apply to other companies' websites, including websites we link to.

Our Communications With You (TCPA Consent)

Email. When you request a home value report, sign up after browsing homes, ask a question, or request a consultation, we will email you about your request. If you choose to receive market updates, we will email you those updates (monthly for homeowners, weekly for home shoppers). Every market update includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect right away for market updates; we may still reply to requests you make.

Calls and texts (optional). Our forms include a separate checkbox, unchecked by default, that lets you agree to be contacted by call or text. If you check it, you give your express written consent for Cartwright Realty, LLC and Cartwright Decor to call or text you at the number you provided, including with automated technology or prerecorded messages, about your home, real estate services, and staging and design services. We save the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the page where you agreed.

Not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to calls or texts to receive your report, to use the Website, or to buy any property, product, or service.
Rates and frequency. Message and data rates may apply. How often we contact you varies with your request.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or HELP for help. You may also tell us by phone, email, or any other reasonable way, and we will honor your request promptly. We may send one final text confirming your opt-out.

By providing a phone number or email address, you confirm that it belongs to you or that you are authorized to use it, that the information you give is accurate, and that you are at least 18 years old.

Types of Information We Collect

You can browse the Website, search homes, and read our guides without giving us your name. We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us, plus limited technical information described below.

Information you give us ("Personal Information") may include:

Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or property address.
Information about your home: address, property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, condition, and other details you confirm or edit.
Your plans: why you are requesting a value, your timeline, whether you are buying, selling, relocating, or interested in staging, and similar answers.
Optional loan details for the equity estimate: original loan amount, interest rate, loan term, and first payment date. We do not ask for account numbers, and you should not enter them.
Messages, questions, consultation requests, and the times you say you are available.
Your communication choices, including your market update choice and any call or text consent, with the date, time, and wording.

Home search activity. If you sign up after browsing homes, we keep a record of the searches you run and the homes you view on the Website from then on, so we can send updates that match what you are looking for and help you with your search.

Technical information ("Usage Information"). When you use the Website, our hosting provider and our systems receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages and listings you request, and the date and time. We keep a log of listing searches and listing views, including IP address and browser type, for about six months because our MLS data license requires it.

We do not ask for and do not collect Social Security numbers, bank or credit card numbers, or similar financial account information through the Website.

How Information Is Collected

Directly from you, through the home value tool, home search sign-up, contact and consultation forms, and messages you send.
Automatically from your browser or device when you use the Website.
From public and licensed sources. When you enter an address, we look up public property details and listing data (for example, from Hive MLS and public records) to prepare your estimate. We also check that your email address's domain can receive mail.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The Website does not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics or session-recording tools. We use your browser's own storage on your device to remember things for your convenience, such as your name and email so you do not have to retype them on your next home value request, and your place in a search. This information stays in your browser. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, or by choosing "Not you?" on your report. If you block browser storage, the Website will still work, but it will not remember these details.

Some pages load fonts, map tiles, and map software from outside providers (Google Fonts, OpenFreeMap, and unpkg). Your browser connects to those providers directly, so they receive your IP address and basic browser information under their own privacy policies.

How We Use Your Information

To prepare and send your home value report, answer your questions, and provide the real estate services you request.
To contact you about your request by email, and by call or text if you agreed.
To send market updates you chose to receive, matched to your home or your searches.
To connect you with Cartwright Decor for staging and design information, only if you ask for it or agreed to be contacted by both companies.
To refer you to a real estate agent in another area if you ask us to (for example, when you are relocating). See "Disclosure of Your Information" below.
To operate, secure, and improve the Website, prevent misuse, and meet our MLS, licensing, and legal obligations.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only as described here:

Service providers that run the Website for us and may process information only on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting and database) and Resend (email delivery). Address lookups are sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and OpenStreetMap; those lookups include the property address but not your name or contact details.
Cartwright Decor, our affiliated staging company, when you ask about staging or agree to be contacted by both companies.
Referral agents, when you ask us to connect you with an agent in another market. We share only what is needed for the referral and tell you before we do. If a referral leads to a closing, Cartwright Realty typically receives a referral fee from that agent's firm.
Mortgage lenders: we do not send your information to lenders. Our preferred lenders are listed for your convenience, you contact them directly, and Cartwright Realty receives no fee or other compensation for those referrals.
Legal and business reasons: to comply with law, a subpoena, or a court order; to respond to our MLS or the North Carolina Real Estate Commission; to protect our rights or the safety of others; or in connection with a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
With your permission, or as you direct.

Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and a password-protected dashboard that only Marissa can use. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted or accessed without authorization. If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by North Carolina law.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact and request records for as long as we have a working relationship with you and as needed for our business, licensing, and legal record-keeping. We keep the MLS listing activity log for about six months. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Reviewing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Information

You may ask to see the personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected] or calling (910) 777-4759. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will delete your information unless we must keep it to finish a transaction you requested or to meet a legal or licensing requirement, and we will tell you if that applies.

Your Choices

You never have to give us personal information to browse the Website. Some services, such as the home value report, need your contact information to work.
Use the unsubscribe link in any market update to stop those emails.
Reply STOP to any text, or tell us, to stop calls and texts.
Clear your browser storage to remove details the Website remembers on your device.

Children's Privacy

The Website is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Websites

The Website links to other websites, such as Cartwright Decor, lenders, government resources, and the companies that provide listing data. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies.

State-Specific Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information we collect, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of sales or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

"Do Not Track" Signals

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because the Website does not track you across other websites or use third-party advertising or analytics tools, we do not change our practices in response to that signal.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change to how we use or share your personal information, we will post a notice on the Website, and where the law requires, ask for your consent. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the updated policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable federal law. Disputes about this policy are handled as described in the Dispute Resolution section of our Terms of Use.
